Indeed, as a supplier, you present to the customer what you can do for him, how you do it, and what you demand in return. So you want to enter into a <strong>contract<\/strong>. The customer has another goal. He would like more information. The customer is interested in what a company provides but would like to know more about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Does the supplier understand my problem<\/li>\n<li>The details of the products or services<\/li>\n<li>The price<\/li>\n<li>The conditions (for delivery)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only when he is <strong>convinced<\/strong> that the services or products in your offer suit him and the terms So legally, there is <strong>no difference<\/strong> between an offer and a contract.<\/p>\n<p>In practice, the distinction does exist. You can recognize the difference very clearly by reading the text. A contract is a <strong>dry list<\/strong> of products, services, and conditions. A quotation is a recruiting document that <strong>informs<\/strong> and <strong>excites<\/strong> the customer to purchase the product.<\/p>\n<p>A customer accepts the quotation by signing it or otherwise <strong>agreeing<\/strong> to it. A written agreement, whether digital via e-mail or a signature, is the most common. However, a verbal agreement also occurs. You record the method of customer acceptance in your proposal. If you don&#8217;t, Dutch law says that acceptance is form-free, but it must be a directed will.<\/p>\n<p>It is common to require a written or digital acceptance record as a condition of acceptance. Most proposal writers make the mistake of including only a product or service description, price list, and terms and conditions in the proposal. In doing so, you are not getting the most out of the proposal.<\/p>\n<p>A conscious customer usually requests several proposals from different suppliers. So your quote will be compared to others.
